Calling All Ushers!

We will soon be posting updated usher duties and the 2026 schedule. If you can serve on the usher team, plase contact Mike L for information. Commitment is typically one Sunday per month.

Annual LSS Gift Drive Begins!

Our annual holiday gift drive benefiting Lutheran Social Services begins on Sunday.  Please bring your unwrapped gifts by Sunday, November. 30. See Kaytlyn or Sandy with any questions.

Fall Sanctuary Cleaning - 11/22 @ 9am

Altar guild will be sponsoring annual fall sanctuary cleaning.  Bring a bucket and rags and help make our beautiful sanctuary sparkle for Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas!  Many hands make light work!

Upcoming Men's & Women's Activities

  • Men’s Mandatory Formation will meet at Huckleberry’s on Thursday, November 20 at 0900.
  • WoHC Mexican Train will meet in the parish hall on Thursday, November 20th  from 1-3pm.  A sign up is posted on the bulletin board.
  • The next Faithful Foodies outing will be at The Brass Door in San Ramon on November 21st at 1pm.  NOTE:  This month’s outing is on a FRIDAY…apparently, Friday is clam chowder day at Brass Door.  Signup is on the parish hall bulletin board.  Please indicate carpool interest.   Carpool will leave Holy Cross by 12:15.
  • Men’s Bible Study will meet Sunday, November 23 at 6:30pm for fellowship, with Bible Study following at 7pm.  (NOTE: 4th Sunday this month, instead of the usual 3rd Sunday)
     

 

Our Annual Food Drive Continues

The Sixth Annual Holy Cross Food Drive benefiting Contra Costa Food Bank will begin on Halloween, 10/31.  Donations will be collected through Thanksgiving.  Reminder: No glass containers, please!   This year, we are trying to fill the barrels with heavy items first.  Suggestions for Sunday, Nov. 23rd are WHOLE GRAINS - rice, cereal, pasta, etc.  (Of course, any items you choose to bring at any time are welcome!)
